If you’re wondering how you can move away from the traditional Christmas colours of forest green and holly red and inject some of your own personal style this season, here are three very different styles and colour palletes to inspire you.

This colour scheme reflects those seen on a winter’s day, cool icy blues, silver and snowy white.  Lights twinkling and icicles glistening. The personality is one of calm and serenity. Champagne is the perfect drink for such a setting….

This setting shows a monotone palette.  From the warm ivory white and various shades of warm gold. Working perfect in this scheme are the warm yellow glow of the candles. The personality is one of warmth, friendly and relaxed conversation. You can just see this  Christmas meal going on for hours…

Now for something completely different. This bright and bold colour palette works perfectly with the quirky, fun take on the traditional Christmas tree, a collection of  bright colourful finds. Bring on the retro cocktails, finger food and fun!

I love the Christmas tree stuck on the wall! I love looking at the Christmas windows to check out the colour combinations and displays. My favourite is Fortnum and Masons. Thank you for the first Christmassy post this year!

      Hi Tanya,
The wall tree is my favourite too. I love the fun, quirkiness of it. F&M do truly magical Christmas window displays. I think my next favourite is Selfridges for their avant garde displays.
