30 day blog challenge - day 2 - colour psychology psychic purple.

I was asked by a client of mine @joannapieters “[I] worked in the new age sector for a bit, was always told purple was the psychic colour. Curious about nature of purple and why?”

(Day 2 into my 30 blogs in 30 days challenge!)

Violet, often described as purple is seen as the psychic colour because of its psychological properties.

psy·chic [sahy-kik] of or pertaining to the human soul or mind; mental (opposed to physical)

positive psychological qualities of purple
Purple (violet) relates to the higher self, to inner contemplation. We associate it with spiritual awareness and inner reflection. A colour for quiet contemplation.

As with any colour there are negative traits. For purple if you surround yourself with too much purple or the wrong tone you could find yourself becoming too introspective – spending time ‘navel gazing’. It would be easy to lose touch with reality.
