world’s most unusual hotels – tree hotel

Karen Haller
I’m starting a new series of blogs where I search out the world’s most unusual hotels, for their individuality and originality in both design and function. From which there is no doubt others will drawn inspiration from.
In the first of this series I’m featuring the amazing Tree Hotel.
The Tree Hotel is located in the north of Sweden. It certainly lives up to its creator’s vision “Why not create a comfortable, well designed hotel which allows visitors to live in harmony with nature amongst the trees?”
Imagine being able to live amongst nature, observe it without impact. This is innovative modern design working in harmony with nature at its best.

To prevent birds from flying into the glass of the Mirrorcube, it is covered in infra red film with falconiformes which is invisible to humans - ingenious!
In total there are seven unique rooms. I just can’t decide which is my favourite. I think I’d want to stay for seven nights to try them all out and then possibly another seven just to make sure! Which is your favourite?
It’s only of matter of time before we see these designs available for family homes.
Read more about their Philosophy and check out the other amazing rooms.

Do you have a favourite hotel you’d like to share?
I love it, really one of the wierdest hotels i’ve seen would love to stay there….
It certainly is weird and wonderful! Maybe one day it may even be seen as normal….. Next time I’m in Sweden I’d love to visit and try ‘living’ from the trees.
