the color run is the happiest 5k on the planet!

I can now concur. The Color Run is the happiest 5k on the planet. Yesterday the sun was shining down on the first ever London Color Run at the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park.
Why does colour make us happy? Because when it comes to psychology, colour is emotion. When we feel the positive effects of colour combined with a fun event such as The Color Run you just can’t help but feel happy. You just need to remember to keep your mouth closed when running through the colour stations, whilst you’ll want a colourful t-shirt you may not want colourful teeth!
Here are just a few photos of the day…

With my colourful friends (L-R) Keren Lerner, me, Tamsin Fox-Davies and Julia Langkraehr arriving at the Olympic Park.

About the enter the yellow colour zone… you know what’s coming…

I asked this guy if I could take his picture before the run started. He found me to take a picture of his colourful head after he’d finished. Clearly got bombed in the pink zone.
There are Color Run events all over the UK, the US and Australia and the list is growing. If you get the chance it’s a fun day out experiencing the happiest 5k on the planet!
Would love to do this next year and I’m sure my friend Jo would love to join in too…!
Hi Kim,
The Color Run is a organisation that has many events throughout the year all over the UK – great news you don’t have to wait an entire year! Enjoy x
Color Run is the only event where you get to party once you cross the finish line. The event is immensely popular all over the world and although runners do not receive any prizes, they are showered with colour run powder
Hi,
I know what you mean. This was my experience too. A lot of colourful fun!
Karen 🙂
