Monday night saw the 3rd annual Dulux Let’s Colour Awards. The awards are designed to celebrate and reward the most innovative uses of colour and design across Britain’s creative industries and events.

I was honoured to be once again be asked to be part of the Dulux Let’s Colour Awards judging panel, which includes experts from the worlds of art, design, fashion and media – will come together again at the end of the year to begin compiling the shortlist for the 2016 edition of the awards.

Here’s a sneak peek behind the scenes on the judging day last December.

The event, held at The Magazine Restaurant – a stunning venue designed by award winning architect Zaha Hadid. The room was abuzz with nominees, judges, guests and the who’s who of the colour world all talking one thing… colour!

Speaking at the event, Dulux Creative Director and Head Judge, Marianne Shillingford sums it up beautifully “The Let’s Colour Awards celebrate the transformative power that colour can bring to people’s lives and with nearly a third of us believing that we’d be happier with more colour in our lives – we really should be celebrating colour every day. Events like ‘Blood Swept Lands and Seas of Red’ demonstrated how the nation can be united through colour and the images of those incredibly vivid red ceramic poppies will last long in the memory bank of people across the world.”
