If you’re a local or a visitor to London, you may have noticed giant eggs dotted throughout the capital.  Over 200 stunningly designed giant eggs have been created by leading artists, designers, architects and jewellers for The Big Egg Hunt! And it’s all to benefit the wonderful charities Action for Children and Elephant Family.

I was thrilled to learn a friend of mine, Paola Minekov who is an amazing artist, had her design selected from their call out to artists. Paola says she was ‘inspired to paint the globe as an interlocking jigsaw, using primary colours to suggest a playful childlike simplicity which contrasts with the complex reality of geopolitics.’

The Fabergé Big Egg Hunt takes place from Feb 21 – March 31 leading up to Easter. The 200 plus eggs have been hidden throughout London and the more eggs you find, the more chance you stand of winning the most fabulous prize – the Fabergé Diamond Jubilee Egg valued at over £100,000. And that’s no egg-aggeration!

      Hi Keren,

They are just amazing pieces of art in their own right. Great that Paola was selected to design one.
