colourful eggs – fabergé big egg hunt
If you’re a local or a visitor to London, you may have noticed giant eggs dotted throughout the capital. Over 200 stunningly designed giant eggs have been created by leading artists, designers, architects and jewellers for The Big Egg Hunt! And it’s all to benefit the wonderful charities Action for Children and Elephant Family.
I was thrilled to learn a friend of mine, Paola Minekov who is an amazing artist, had her design selected from their call out to artists. Paola says she was ‘inspired to paint the globe as an interlocking jigsaw, using primary colours to suggest a playful childlike simplicity which contrasts with the complex reality of geopolitics.’
The Fabergé Big Egg Hunt takes place from Feb 21 – March 31 leading up to Easter. The 200 plus eggs have been hidden throughout London and the more eggs you find, the more chance you stand of winning the most fabulous prize – the Fabergé Diamond Jubilee Egg valued at over £100,000. And that’s no egg-aggeration!
So whether you are a local or a visitor, everyone is invited to get cracking and join the hunt! How many will you find!
yours to own
Here’s your chance to be the owner of one of these amazing creations as these eggs will be auctioned off, so welcome to The Faberge Big Egg Hunt Auction! You may even want to buy Paola’s colourful world egg!
