Advanced Colour Group Mentoring Programme

Frequently Asked Questions

FAQ & Support

Got a question and not sure what to do next? Here’s a list of the most frequently asked questions. So before you email support or post in the Facebook group, please read through the FAQ’s as your question may already be answered.

I recommend at least two hours each week per module. So that is at least eight hours per month. Ideally set aside dedicated time each week that is your development time as we retain information better when learnt in small amounts of time instead of cramming it all in on the 4th week. It also gives you the opportunity to apply what you are learning to your everyday work and with clients. Then if you have any questions you're able to bring them to the call or pop them in the Facebook group for discussion and help.

If you are in the group mentoring programme:

You’ll be sent a recording of your monthly group call  via email within 24hrs of the call. If you haven’t received it check your junk and spam folders. If you have more than one email address ensure you’re checking the right inbox. Any problems please contact support.

If you're a private 1-1 mentee:

You’ll be sent a recording of your twice monthly private 1-1 calls via email within 24hrs of the call. If you haven’t received it check your junk and spam folders. If you have more than one email address ensure you’re checking the right inbox. Any problems please contact support.

Don’t forget to check out the Additional resources section at the end of each module. There should be enough there to whet your colour appetite.

Once you’ve opened the Pandora’s box on colour, you’ll be chomping at the bit to delve into the many fascinating areas of colour. Whilst I can point you in the direction of other areas please be mindful it’s easy to find yourself going down the colour rabbit hole and losing focus on learning about applied colour & design psychology. You may find this happening around Modules 2-3. Unless they are related to your industry or line of work, I would make a note of your other colour interests and delve into them once you've finished this programme.

Other courses available but separate to this course are:

  • Colour in Healthcare
  • Psychology of Colour Trends
  • Business Skills

You’ll have lifetime access to the modules within your programme which means you can go back and revisit any of the information as many times as you wish. This is specially helpful when you are working on a client project and you wish to refresh your knowledge in a specific area.

Once you've completed the Module 6, I'll be sending you a Knowledge review to complete. We'll book in a call to discuss the Knowledge review and any potential areas we feel you may like to revisit.

There is also an Advanced Colour Methods for Industry Professionals Stage 1 - Foundation course certificate for those of you who have successfully completed the course.

This isn’t a chalk and talk programme. You need to be self-motivated and take initiative.  My top three tips to achieve this are:

  1. Set aside dedicated development time each week. This will help you retain the new concepts and information better instead of trying to cram it into the last week before the call. You'll have the advantage of being about to practice and hone what you're learning in your every day design projects.
  2. Be active in the private Facebook group which is where you'll be able to ask questions throughout the month and receive guidance, feedback and support from me. It's also where you can 'meet' your fellow group members to share, learn from and inspire each other.
  3. Sometimes when we set goals, intentions or take on a course it’s easy for life to get in the way, there’s a lot that goes on in life for us all and sometimes it can be a challenge to keep on top of all the work. At this point it can be useful to revisit your intentions and the reasons why you decided to do this course so you can keep your vision and purpose in clear view.

If you're on the group mentoring programme, your primary way of asking me questions is via the Facebook group. If you send me an email then please understand I may email you back and ask you to pop it into the Facebook group - that way all the members can learn as well.
If you have a private question to ask and you've received a bonus 1-1 call as part of your programme and you don't wish to share it in the FB group, then that's the perfect time to ask.

Please be aware that whilst you may find me posting and answering questions at unusual times official office hours are Mon-Fri 09:00 - 17:00 (UK Time).

Great, love your enthusiasm! All you need to do is let me know which topics you’re interested in and I’ll do some extra research for you and pop it in the resources section for you and everyone to benefit from.

I’m often asked about project management training, how to get into the press, sales, marketing and other business related subjects. If you are interested in any of these topics then contact me and we can discuss the best approach for you.

If you're currently on the group mentoring programme and would like to upgrade to the private 1-1 programme all you need to do is contact me and we can chat to see if this is the best route for you and your business.

Once you've completed the programme and you feel you would like to continue furthering your colour knowledge, all you need to do is contact me and we can chat to see what is the best approach for you and your business.

Couldn’t find what you were looking for and still need help?
