If you have a question and you are not sure what to do next, you are in the right place. I have put together the most common questions I am asked. Before you email support or post in the Facebook group, have a read through the FAQs because you might find your answer right here. If you have read through the FAQs and still cannot find what you are looking for, feel free to get in touch. We're always happy to help.
I recommend at least two hours each week per module. So that's at least eight hours per month.
Ideally set aside dedicated time each week that is your development time as we retain information better when learnt in small amounts of time instead of cramming it all in on the 4th week.
It also gives you the opportunity to apply what you're learning to your everyday work and with clients. Then if you have any questions you're able to bring them to the call or pop them in the Facebook group for discussion and help.
If you're in the group mentoring programme: You’ll be sent a recording of your monthly group call via email within 24-48hrshrs of the call. If you haven’t received it check your junk and spam folders. If you have more than one email address ensure you’re checking the right inbox. Any problems please contact support.
If you're a private 1-1 mentee: In addition to the group call recording, you’ll be sent a recording of your twice monthly private 1-1 calls via email within 24-48hrs of the call. If you haven’t received it check your junk and spam folders. If you have more than one email address ensure you’re checking the right inbox. Any problems please contact support.
That's exactly what the Additional Resources section at the end of each module is for. It's full of articles, podcasts, videos etc for you to deepen your knowledge and whet your colour appetite!
Once you open the Pandora’s box of colour, it is completely natural to feel excited about exploring every possible direction.
During this programme it is important to stay focused on your current area of professional expertise. This is the field where you already have skills and experience, for example residential interiors or graphic design. This focus allows you to see how the theory applies from beginning to end in a real and practical way.
You might feel a strong pull to explore other areas of colour. This often happens around Modules 2 and 3 when everything starts to click and your curiosity grows.
Remember that interest alone is not enough to use this work professionally. You need to already have expertise in that area first. For example, if you work in residential interiors and you are curious about commercial interiors, that curiosity does not yet make commercial work your speciality.
If another area of colour excites you and you do not yet have expertise in it, make a note of it for the future. For now, keep bringing everything you learn back to the area where you already have professional experience.
Later, once you have built expertise in a new specialty, we can look at whether it would be useful for you to come back through the programme with that new focus. This way your learning stays purposeful and fully aligned with your goals.
You will have lifetime access* to all the modules in your programme. This means you can return to the material whenever you wish and revisit any part of the content as often as you like.
Many students find this especially helpful when they are working on a client project and want to refresh their knowledge in a specific area.
*For the lifetime that I run this course.
Once you reach the end of Module 6, I will send you your Knowledge Review. When you have completed it, we'll go through it together on call. It is an opportunity to review your learning, recognise your progress and identify any areas you may want to revisit.
If you complete the programme and achieve a pass mark of 75% or higher in your Knowledge Review, you will receive your Advanced Colour Methods for Industry Professionals Stage 1 Foundation certificate.
This formally recognises that you have been trained in this methodology and have met the required standard.
This isn’t a chalk and talk programme. You need to be self-motivated and take initiative. My top three tips to achieve this are:
If you're on the group mentoring programme, your primary way of asking me questions is via the Facebook group. If you send me an email then please understand I may email you back and ask you to pop it into the Facebook group - that way all the members can learn as well.
If you have a question that you would like to ask privately, then you can book in 1-1 call with me. All you need to do is email me.
If you're a private 1-1 mentee: you have two additional 1-1 calls with me, plus email and WhatsApp access.
Please be aware that whilst you may find me posting and answering questions at unusual times official office hours are Mon-Fri 09:00 - 17:00 (UK Time).
Great, love your enthusiasm! All you need to do is let me know which topics you’re interested in and I’ll do some extra research for you and pop it in the resources section for you and everyone to benefit from.
I’m often asked about project management training, how to get into the press, sales, marketing and other business related subjects. If you are interested in any of these topics then contact me and we can discuss the best approach for you.
If you're currently on the group mentoring programme and would like to upgrade to the private 1-1 programme all you need to do is contact me and we can chat to see if this is the best route for you and your business.
Once you've completed the programme and you feel you would like to continue furthering your colour knowledge, all you need to do is contact me and we can chat to see what is the best approach for you and your business.
