On Tuesday I found myself at Google’s London campus as a guest of Constant Contact. I was one of their two business case studies to show how I use social media for my business.

This was part of Social Media Week, taking place in cities all over world. Knowing the room would be full of business owners wanting to understand how they could use social media to help their business, I jumped at the opportunity.

Constant Contact centred their talk on ‘How small businesses win in a social connected world’ which was streamed live and if you would like to watch it you can do so here. It’s full of tips, strategies and hints to get you started with a Q&A panel at the end. It is long at 1:30 hr but the good thing with video you don’t need to watch it all in one go.

Here is now Tamsin Fox-Davies, from Constant Contact, explains the Engagement Marketing Cycle using me as a case study.

Having used social media for a number of years now, and looking back to when I started, these would be my top three tips.

The panel discussion in full swing with Jhon from Awesome Merchandise, myself and Erica and Tamsin from Constant Contact answering questions from the audience and those watching via the livestream and twitter. Luke from Awesome Merchandise was also on stage, just out of shot.

It was a honour to be invited by Constant Contact and to speak on stage with you and share what I have learnt over the years using social media. Great audience interaction, after all it’s all about them taking away tips they can easily implement into their own social media strategy.

Great fun and hope to join forces with you again in the future.
